Home Vitals LLC (“Home Vitals,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the website homevitalspr.com and the Home Vitals customer, technician, and admin portals. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide Directly
- Full name, email address, phone number, and service address
- Account credentials (when you register for a portal account)
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe — we do not store full card numbers)
- Service preferences, unit details, and notes you submit
- Communications you send us via email or the platform
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- IP address, browser type, and device information
- Pages visited, time spent on pages, and clickstream data
- Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)
1.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In
If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google. We do not receive your Google password. Your use of Google Sign-In is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy (policies.google.com/privacy).
1.4 Service-Related Information
- Photos of AC units and equipment taken by our technicians during service visits (stored in secure, private cloud storage)
- Service reports, inspection checklists, and job notes
- Electronic authorizations and consents you submit directly in our app (e.g., work authorization before a job) — recorded with your name, a timestamp, and IP address
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Schedule, dispatch, and complete AC cleaning and HVAC service jobs
- Process payments and issue invoices including applicable IVU (Puerto Rico sales tax at 11.5%)
- Send service confirmations, reminders, and follow-up communications via email or WhatsApp
- Allow you to view your service history, invoices, and reports through your customer portal
- Assign jobs to contractors and manage field technician workflows
- Comply with Puerto Rico and federal tax obligations, including IVU reporting (Hacienda SURI) and contractor informativas (480.7C)
- Improve our services and website
- Respond to your questions and support requests
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share your information with:
- Service Providers: Stripe (payments), Supabase (database and storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email), Twilio (WhatsApp), and Google (authentication) — each bound by their own privacy and security obligations
- Contractors: Limited job details (address, contact info, service scope) shared only with the technician assigned to your job
- Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or government authority, including Hacienda Puerto Rico and the IRS
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward, or as required by law. Tax-related records are retained for a minimum of 7 years in compliance with Puerto Rico and federal requirements. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us (see Section 9).
5. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies from third-party ad networks. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, but some portal features may not function correctly without them.
6. Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
- Row-level security on our database (each user can only access their own data)
- Private (non-public) storage for all service photos
- Signed, time-limited URLs for any photo access
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Children's Privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of non-transactional communications

10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
